It's that cozy Italian spot tucked away in the corner. Now, I ain't gonna lie, their pasta and pizza game is off the charts. I mean, we're talking about food that hits the taste buds like a flavor explosion. You'd think they've got some kind of magic in that kitchen. But hold up, let's talk price tags. Gigino, my friend, you're charging a premium for that deliciousness. Yeah, it's got that whole "hole in the wall" charm going on, but the bill at the end of the meal? Ouch. It's like they sprinkle gold dust on the plates or something. Still, gotta give credit where it's due. The pasta is so darn good that it's almost like a foodie pilgrimage. And those pizzas? They've got that crispy, cheesy thing down to an art form. But hey, Gigino, maybe ease up on the wallet-crunching prices a bit? Please? ~ Nicolas M
This Italian restaurant is tucked away in a cozy corner. I have to admit, their pasta and pizza are amazing. The flavors are so intense that it's like a taste explosion. It's almost like there's some kind of magic happening in their kitchen. But let's talk about the prices. Gigino, my friend, you're charging quite a bit for this deliciousness. Yes, it has that charming "hole in the wall" vibe, but when you see the bill at the end of the meal, it's a bit of a shock. It's like they sprinkle gold dust on the plates or something. Still, I have to give them credit where it's due. The pasta is so good that it's almost like a foodie pilgrimage. And those pizzas? They've mastered the crispy, cheesy perfection. But maybe, just maybe, Gigino could consider making the prices a bit more budget-friendly? Pretty please? ~ Tyrone L
The best local authentic Italian food I have ever had in Sydney. The staff are extremely friendly and they are always attentive. I have discovered this hidden gem through a friend. On one occasions I asked her if there is any good authentic Italian restaurant in south west Sydney? She immediately said Gigino. I have been going there for the last several months, always accomodating and even with out a booking the staff immediately find a place for us. I highly recommend this restaurant as it’s one of the very few left that serves proper Italian food. Their menu is to die for. Check it out and I guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed at all. ~ Jacob F
Lovely welcome. Great friendly helpful customer service. Food was fresh, tasty. Loved the ombiance. Nice Italian music in the background. Photos on the walls of members of the family. Family owned business. Recipes handed down the generations. I felt like I was in Italy. The waiter and chef advised us of the specials. The friendly waitress took our orders, explained the meals. Offered to take our photo. I was celebrating my birthday with my children. It was a lovely experience. Food didn't take long to come out. It was delicious. Well priced. Not an overly large menu but just enough. Loved the Pizza Special with fresh figs. 😋 Also was persuaded to try the Banoffee. It was really nice. Now I know what I have been missing as I had never had it before. Food reminded me of my mums cooking having grown up with Italian parents. I look forward to returning to try other options on the menu. We will be spreading the word about this hidden gem. Thank you to the staff from all of us. 🙏 ❤️ ~ Rosanna B
I went here with my partner for the first time. The staff greeted us straight away with a friendly manner and found a seat for us quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional through out the dinner. We ordered two of the pizza bionda's and a serve of the special home made gnocchi with truffle sauce. The pizzas were two of the best pizzas we have ever had. They were perfectly cooked and presented. For the pasta, I tend to stay away from truffle dishes as I find it can be an over baring taste, however my partner wanted it and it was not a bad choice. There was just the right amount of ingredients to make it taste amazing. We finished the night of with desert. I had the home made apple pie which followed the rest of the foods standards. My partner had the pannacotta which she loved with passion. All in all, this place provided some of the best food Ive had the pleasure of enjoying. Will be back next time I'm in town. Amazing. - Dan ~ Dan H
My new favourite local. The staff here are so incredibly friendly and the service is on point. The food was DELICIOUS and there are soo many yummy dishes to choose from. We went with one of the specials as an entree which was the garlic prawns with focaccia and for main we went the lamb ragu pasta and the luigi pizza. My favourite was definitely the pizza - a must try! Can't wait to go back again to try more of what's on the menu. I'm from the Eastern Suburbs and this beats any Italian restaurant I've been to around there. An absolute gem! Thanks for the fabulous night, Gigino! ~ Krystle P
This place is absolutely delicious. By far the best pizza I have had in the area. I usually never finish a whole meal and bring some home. Hubs and I split the rigatoni and margherita pizza and be sure there was not a scrap left. We had to try the tiramisu so we got some to take home. The sauce was fresh, the pasta perfectly al dente. Pizza crust was also fresh and well baked. They have delivery, Uber Eats and take away as well as the traditional sit down restaurant. Another amazing local gem that we WILL be back. ~ Jen D
I have been visiting Giginos for many years now and I've never left disappointed. The pizza is always hits the mark. The pizzas are traditional so don't expect loads of toppings but expect a balanced pizza that has a base cooked to perfect with a thick sauce, even cheese layer and scattered toppings. The venue used to be much smaller but due to the crowds it has expanded next door and even with the expansion still gets busy but when you taste their pizza you'll understand why. ~ Nicholas P
Went for the first time tonight with my husband. We had the best experience! The service was amazing from beginning to end, the girls were super friendly. The food was delicious! Highly recommend the gnocchi in their truffled sauce as well as the Gigino pizza. The man that we assume is the manager or owner was so welcoming and sent us off with some extra dessert (which is homemade and tasted divine). Loved the experience and will definitely be back! ~ Elizabeth D
This place has the best Italian in Western Sydney, hands down. My partner and I have been here a few times and can not get enough! The Luigi pizza and the gnocchi is definitely something that keeps us coming back. Also, we are always provided with good customer service. But I would like to give a shout out to the lady who looked after us on Friday night (13th June) as she was extremely friendly from start to end - she also agrees on the Luigi pizza as being a must! Thank you guys!! ~ Geraldine F
This is home cooked Italian cuisine at its best. We had the mussels, the pasta and a pizza. The simplicity of the sauces for each dish allowed us to savour every single ingredients, and allowed the mussels in the entree and pasta in the main to be the heroes. As for the service, we could not fault it either, as welcoming as when you would join your family for a meal! Will definitely revisit and recommend. ~ Helena A
Honestly, some of the best pizza & traditional Italian food I've had in a long long time! My italian parents first went there and couldn't stop raving on about it, so I had to see for myself. The pizza dough is honestly, perfect and like any proper Italian restaurant... the food and flavours are simple, delicious and authentic. Everything is done in-house including their pastas and desserts. I've tried a fair bit of their menu but looking forward to trying it all, so far nothing has dissapointed. They also sell the best Nduja you can get. Thank you Gigino for showing that good Italian food, done properly is still alive & happening in the suburbs. The fact you guys are still going strong is testament to how you guys have the formula right. Also, the fact that these guys are located in the Fairfield/Cumberland area is an extra bonus too - no need to travel into the inner city etc for good Pizza. The staff are really nice, one in particular who I can't recall her name... she was really bubbly, conversational and friendly. Also, the boss is a legend - super nice guy, honest and committed to the craft. Thank you Guys. ~ Steven T
Intimate and cosy Italian restaurant. In a random location with plenty of street parking. Food was fresh, delicious and very flavourful. I preferred the pizza over the pasta, for me the pasta itself was slightly undercooked but the meat and sauce was beautiful. You might need a bit of help with the menu but the staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions. Must try their tiramisu and banoffee pie. ~ Tina D
A hidden treasure in the vicinity, offering genuine Italian cuisine. I had a delightful experience with the truffle gnocchi, which some might find slightly salty, but I personally appreciate its savory character. Unfortunately, the calzone didn't live up to expectations, lacking that delightful factor. As for the tiramisu, it was decent but leaned towards the drier side. The service was exceptional! ~ David S
Last night my wife and I arrived and it was extremely busy. Even in the midst of being busy and short staffed he managed to find us a seat at the bar. He was friendly, conversational and still provided us with the best service he could. Always a plus when the food is unbelievably good !. Definitely recommend Gigino and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for your service and great food ~ Joseph C
My husband and I went here for date night last Friday, it was our first time visiting Gigino’s. We ordered the spaghetti marinara, magherita pizza & arancini balls. The spaghetti marinara was SO GOOD, definitely the highlight of our meal. Only downside was the wait for our food, but was worth it. The vibe of the place was so cozy & nice for a cute date night. Will definitely be going back! ~ Saira K
A hidden gem, not only in the neighbourhood, but whole Sydney. One bite and you feel like you're sunbathing in Italy having a negroni and pizza surrounded by olive groves. Do yourself a favour and order their delicious pizza, flavourful truffle gnocchi paired with wine and ending it with the classic tiramisu, what else can you ask for? Truly it's the essence of Italian la dolce Vita. Ciao! ~ Kasper Ś
The food is amazing here. Also the wine was a standout. The Wood-fired pizza was perfectly light and delicious and the pasta was very tasty. Props to the owner and his staff who were friendly and attentive to our table of 4 last Saturday night. Great service all round. Gigino is a real hidden gem of a place. Will definitely be back. ~ Pam O
This Pizzeria suits having a location like Surry Hills. I was surprised by this place based on the quality pizza that I tried. I ordered a margarita pizza and truffle gnocchi. (Honestly the best Margarita that I have ever eaten and the truffle gnocchi was like art for the tastebuds). Highly rate this pizzeria. ~ A E
We went here on a Wednesday night, quite a busy place. The waitress was fantastic and funny, the food was well presented and tasted great. My only issue was the urgency placed to eat in between entree's and the main. It seemed like we were being rushed. But other than that, I would highly recommend this place to eat. Thankyou for a good night. ~ alex l
Even though the restaurant was booked out the found room for two of us on busy Saturday night.food was amazing radicio salad so delicious great olives swordfish in tomato sauce fantastic Margherita pizza just delicious topped with real mozzarella and fresh basil.handmade riccota cheesecake for dessert was Devine. ~ Joe D
A recent find via social media. The food here is phenomenal! Such a great local Italian restaurant. The garlic foccacias, pizza's & pastas were demolished before we thought to take pics. Friendly attentive staff as well. It's a winner 👌 We'll be back again & again to try some more deliciousness from the menu. ~ Lisa B
Had a great dinner here mid week. The menu is small, however each meal I imagine will not disappoint. I recommend to try the fried zucchini blossoms, also! The service from the gentleman (did not get a name) was great. Would recommend for a local and yummy Italian fix. ~ Chrissy T
Friendly staff, great Italian food, comfy atmosphere in the room at the back. Favourite dish we ordered was the truffle gnocchi, which was to die for. The dessert was also delicious. You can even buy dessert items to take home! A nice place to take your date. ~ Rosanna L
